How to build or destroy a great company

July 6th, 2012

Well, it’s time. I have began writing my first book with a working title called, “How to Build or Destroy a Great Company.”

Based upon 25 years of experience in the people practices profession, I have many stories to tell. Some very good and some incredibly bad.  I prefer the good times in life, however, I have found many more learning experiences come from negative situations.

This book is not about naming names or going after folks who have intentionally tried to hurt me personally. I have forgiven those individuals. Unforgiveness is toxic to the soul. Holding onto unforgiveness is like drinking poison and hoping your enemy gets sick.

We welcome your comments, feedback and stories, especially if you have worked with me during your career. It is our hope this book will reach a massive audience and act as a catalyst to improve the world of work.

I will keep you informed on the progress of this book project.

  1. Kevin,

Congratulations on putting it all down in a book. I pray your book will be a knock-out success. You are right that companies can have toxic work environments, and in my experience, convince themselves otherwise. You are also right that the only suave for our bad/toxic experiences is forgiveness. Without it, things implode.

    • Hi Cynthia, thanks for your comments. It is my hope the book helps CEO’s to enlighten themselves with the facts that environment is their number one responsibility in creating a profitable business. We need to stop looking for complicated answers and focus on the culture, which is created by how leaders work and act each day. I am praying we will get it right this time all across our great nation.
